Shop Garb The World!

Garb the World was started in 1999 by a historical reenactor who wanted to provide jobs for her stay-home-mom friends who were also reenactors. We now offer a full line of historical and religious outfits which can be customized to your specifications. We also have a full line of pre-made items that are ready to ship. 

We specialize in large sizes. All of our items are stitched in the USA using as many local materials as possible.  In order to offer leather shoes at a reasonable price we work with an artisan in Pakistan and are able to offer many styles of historical shoes.




This item was already stitched in the USA and is ready to ship. The Roman tunic was adopted by the Roman citizens in the 3rd century BC. It was often worn by citizens and non-citizens alike. The length of the garment would indicate the wearer's status in Roman society. Soldiers, slaves and manual workers generally had tunics to a little above the knee while those in more sedentary occupations to about the ankle. Tunic's were often adorned with stripes, trims, and details that expressed the wearers station.  In Stock Roman Tunic: Red, This outfit is made in lighter weight polycotton. This garment can be machine washed and dried on low. Like all Garb the World garments, we stitch them to be worn and washed like 'regular' clothing.       Made in the USA by stitchers earning a fair wage.










This garment will be custom-made in the USA for you. The Palla is a later variation of the Himation or Toga. This version is a long rectangle, usually worn by women as a long, wrapped veil. In the mid 5th century Imperial Rome the Palla became more of a fashion accessory among noble ladies. It was folded lengthwise and wrapped around the body, as pictured above. * 144 inches long and 50 inches wide. * Trim is included along the short ends.  * Made from a beautiful gauze cotton fabric.     This garment can be machine washed and dried on low. Like all Garb the World garments, we stitch them here in the USA to be worn and washed like 'regular' clothing.    This item is custom-made in the USA and may take up to 6 weeks for delivery. This robes is open at the front like a coat and feature a full hood with big sleeves.It is the same pattern as our monk's robe, just with a slit opening.  This robe works great for wizards, Jedis, Harry Potter, as well as steampunk coats. They are also ideal for Faire, LARPing, SCA events, rituals, and for theater productions.  In Stock Robes: Available widths: Chest circumference 25-in. to 75-in. (63.5 cm to 190.5 cm) Height of robe – 5 ft. 8 in. (172.75 cm) from the shoulder to the ground. With full hood and big sleeves Made from a cotton fabric twill that is sturdy.
